Races
Every race has traits shared between all members. Below is an example of the traits of the Machine race:

Table Key:
- Str, End, Dex, Per, Lea, Wil, Mag and Cha - Base attributes of the race, it is used alongside the class base stats and NPC's level to determine their starting stats (there's also some randomness), 7 is average
- Total - Sum of the race's base attributes, 56 is average
- Life - Base Life which acts as a multiplier to the character's max HP, 100 is average
- Mana - Base Mana which acts as a multiplier to the character's max MP, 100 is average
- Vigor - Base Vigor which acts as a multiplier to the character's max Stamina, 100 is average
- Speed - Base Speed, 100 is average
- Skills - A list of skills that the race gives bonus to, this bonus is in the form of base potential which translates to higher skill levels when a NPC is generated
- Feat - Feats innate to the race
- Feat Effect - Effects of each feat
- Head, Neck, Torso, Back, Hand, Finger, Arm, Waist and Feet - The race's equipment slots, an O means the race has a given slot and a number means the race has multiple slots of that type. Otherwise, the race doesn't have that slot
- Mount Aptitude - How the race functions as a mount, see Riding for more information
- Gene Slots - How many genes slots the race has
- Livestock - Livestock skill level as shown by the game and the daily chance to produce an egg or milk (if they have access to pasture), some races can be sheared too
- Additional Info - Other traits shared by the race. The Material info is what the race is made of which by default is Raw Food, if it's different than Raw Food then it will be listed, the race's material affects corpses (in whatever form) and eggs materials

Table Key:
- Creature - Name of the creature
- Level - Base level of the creature as shown on the card codex, various circumstances can make a creature spawn as a level different than their base
- Class - Creature's class if any. Creatures gain all benefits of their class but some feats such as Magic Mastery does not work for creatures
- Animosity - Creature's base attitude towards the player. See Bestiary/Overview for more information
- Spells/Abilities - List of spells or abilities the creature can use
- Feats - Feats the creature has. Does not include feats from race or class
- Feat Effects - Effects of each feat
- AI - How the creature acts during combat. Please see the combat page for more information
- Notes - Any addition information about the creature
Humanoids
- Corpses of humanoid creatures always have the【Human Flesh】trait.
- Eating food with the【Human Flesh】trait increases insanity and may occasionally give the eater the "Cannibalism" feat.
- Can be purchased from slavers.
- Appears as a guest or prospective immigrant at bases.
- Affected by Man Bane.
- Hard to successfully tame by brush.
Humanoid races
Animals
These animals can be purchased from animal tamers or summoned by the Summon Animal.
- In addition to appearing mainly in outdoor maps, they may also appear in forest and grassland Nefia.
- Other Nefia do not usually appear, but may be summoned by enemy spells.
- Can be purchased from animal tamers.
- Summoned by the Summon Animal. (only exception for Cat)
- Affected by Animal Bane.
- High corpse drop rate.
- They can drop fangs and skins.
- Brushing is more successful.

Undeads
- The corpses of these monsters are given the【Tainted】food trait.
- Affected by Undead Bane.
- Undetectable by telepathy.
- They also often appear in The Cursed Manor.

Fishes
- Appears mostly on seas, beaches, and bridges, and less often on land maps
- Affected by Fish Bane.
Fish races
Machines
- Affected by Machine Bane.
- Undetectable by telepathy.
- Can be dominated by the faith effect of Mani of Machine. (with some exceptions)
- Subject to enhanced abilities by Mani's artifact.
- Special text when using spells.
- They can drop microchips and batteries.
- Very rarely may drop a memory chip.
