The player uses them by grabbing them (right click) from your inventory, and while one tile adjacent to the item you want, using them (right click) on the item. ==== Why won't Farris use the Lute in her inventory? ====
Villagers do their jobs based on what items are placed in towns, not by what items they have in their inventory. Place the lute on the ground by middle clicking it in your inventory, then "grab as furniture" and placing it somewhere.
Your citizens will path between their beds and whatever room they're designated to work at during the day, generally near the related sign or item they need to work. Citizens will not perform their jobs without a bed, and their bed determines the efficacy of the duties they carry out. Check out the Resident Board to see what jobs you have going on in your settlement. If you see one you don't like, Farris has a way to whip your citizens into shape with the "Whip of Love" item. |
