Elin:Tent
The tent is an item belonging to the Exterior category. Once set up, it allows you to enter the unique map inside.
Two sizes exist, large and small, both of which can be purchased from Nino in Tinker's Camp.
Installation
Installation requires a larger space than normal furniture items, 3x3 for a small tent and 4x4 for a large tent.
Some exceptions can be made in places where furniture cannot be installed, such as inside a city.
If an NPC is within the installation area, it will be kicked out, but there is no karma reduction or other penalty for this.
Tents placed in the city will not disappear even if they are involved in the periodic regeneration of the city.
Inside
There is a small space spread out inside. The area, including walls, is 7x9 squares for the small tent and 10x12 squares for the large tent.
The initial interior of both tents is the same, with only a single candelabra on the walls and a single carpet surrounding the perimeter.
The interior condition of each tent is remembered for each tent and is not regenerated when the tent is retrieved and repositioned or over time.
So you can decorate and store any items you like, just like on your own land.
Large size tents are also placed in Tinker's Camp, which behave the same way as regular tents, so you are free to use them as your own space.
What you can do inside the tent
- Set up and use furniture and items
- Automatically tidy
- Farming
- Fishing (possible with water)
- Power generation and use of electrical appliances
- Power usage cannot be checked. Also, manned generators cannot provide labor.
What you cannot do in a tent
- House your people
- Use items that can only be used on your land, such as storage boxes and design boards
- House board system also not available, so if you want background music you need a TV or Gramophone
- Binding with a gallows or similar device
- In a tent inside a tent
- However, you can place a tent inside a tent
Weight
You can place as many items as you want inside a tent, but the tent will get heavier for each item you place inside it.
However, unlike containers, whose weight is determined by “the weight of the body plus the weight of the contents,” a tent treats everything as “the weight of the body.
In other words, the weight of the tent material is corrected for the weight of the contents, so a tent made of light material will have the effect of making even the contents lighter.
The default material hemp can compress the internal weight somewhat, but if the material change results in a paper tent, the compression will be astounding.
It is also possible to place another tent inside the tent, so weight compression can be applied multiply, although it takes more work.
Frying scrolls cannot be used for tents.
