You can set the game's difficulty level when creating Player character or from the “World Law” menu in the system menu which can be opened with the Esc key.
Default Difficulty
Novice Adventurer
Recommended for adventurers who still getting used to the game. There are no restrictions on saving or loading, and for a while after starting, death comes without penalties.
- No Oath (Challenges)
Adventurer
Recommended for adventurers who have grown familiar with the game. You cannot save at any time and your fate is left to your decisions and the whims of the goddess of fortune.
- No manual saving and loading
- No death penalty protection period immediately after the adventure starts
Custom Setting
Individual difficulty settings can be turned on and off individually. All but a few settings can be changed later.
Oath (Challenges)
Manual saving and loading are prohibited
You will not be able to save and load at any time.
No initial death penalty protection
No more Death penalty protection period of 90 days from the start of the game.
Limit beneficial actions in user map
If turned on, NPC's milk, eggs, and genes cannot be collected on user maps accessible from Moongate. In addition, items can no longer be obtained by mining, digging, or lumberjacking, and disassembling items with a hammer is automatically canceled (i.e., learning recipes through hammering is also no longer possible).
Scale difficulty of static content with fame
The difficulty of the static content (such as main and sub quest dungeons) is usually fixed, but with this oath active, it will also rise in proportion to player's fame.
While this may make it more challenging to overcome Nefia by doubling your stats over time, it could be a welcome setting for players who prefer to play the game at an appropriate difficulty level at all times.
*Permadeath* (Save data wiped on death)
- This setting cannot be turned on later.
When you die, you cannot revive or retry, and that character data will be lost.
As a modest insurance policy, you gain a "Fate" feat that allows you to avoid lethal damage when you have more than half stamina.
Workaround (Player Advantages)
You can select this option by turning on the "Show All Laws" setting. Allows you to recreate the game balance of the previous version.
Enemies do not recieve Blessing of the Abyss
Disables the speed bonus that monsters with levels over 1000 have, such as monsters that appear in the deeper levels of the Void.
Boss Loot Multiplier
Allows you to increase or decrease the item drop rate of NPCs with 『』 from a minimum of 0.5x to a maximum of 3x, in 0.5x increments.
Ally Feat Exp Multiplier
Increase or decrease the multiplier of feat experience gained by your Ally from a minimum of 0.5x to a maximum of 2x in 0.5x increments.
Legacy
Legacy recreates past specifications that have been nerfed in the current version.
Dampen enemy damage in the high level range
Player will gain the damage reduction ability of enemies in the higher levels.
- During the EA, the game balance will be adjusted mainly up to the 200th level of danger, and this option is intended for players who want to challenge the deeper levels that are unbalanced.
- Of course, you may continue to challenge your own limits without indulging in this mercy.
Allow genetically modified NPCs to self-replicate
Split monsters that have undergone genetic synthesis will be able to split.
Flavor
Flavor options are cosmetic choices that do not affect gameplay mechanics or game balance.
Eternal 13 Years Old
Except for NPCs under the age of 13, general NPCs will no longer age over time, just like unique NPCs. Aging effects from certain potions will still apply.
