You can set the game's difficulty level when creating Player character or from the “World Law” menu in the system menu which can be opened with the Esc key.

Default Difficulty

Novice Adventurer

Recommended for adventurers who still getting used to the game. There are no restrictions on saving or loading, and for a while after starting, death comes without penalties.

  • No Oath (Challenges)

Adventurer

Recommended for adventurers who have grown familiar with the game. You cannot save at any time and your fate is left to your decisions and the whims of the goddess of fortune.

  • No manual saving and loading
  • No death penalty protection period immediately after the adventure starts

Custom Setting

Individual difficulty settings can be turned on and off individually. All but a few settings can be changed later.

Oath (Challenges)

Manual saving and loading are prohibited

You will not be able to save and load at any time.

No initial death penalty protection

No more Death penalty protection period of 90 days from the start of the game.

Limit beneficial actions in user map

If turned on, NPC's milk, eggs, and genes cannot be collected on user maps accessible from Moongate. In addition, items can no longer be obtained by mining, digging, or lumberjacking, and disassembling items with a hammer is automatically canceled (i.e., learning recipes through hammering is also no longer possible).

  • This setting cannot be turned on later.

When you die, you cannot revive or retry, and that character data will be lost.

As a modest insurance policy, you gain a "Fate" feat that allows you to avoid lethal damage when you have more than half stamina.

Work around (Player Advantages)

Allows you to recreate the game balance of the previous version.

It cannot be selected at the start of the game and must be set from the “World Law” in the system menu, which can be opened with the Esc key after the game starts.

Boss Loot Multiplier

Allows you to increase or decrease the item drop rate of NPCs with 『』 from a minimum of 0.5x to a maximum of 5x, in 0.5x increments.
