The player's main source of stat growth and stat potentials comes from Food.
Overview
Food Traits
Food can have a variety of traits, which further affect the Attributes gained from eating them.
For a simplified list of ingredients by Attribute & Potential growth, see this page.
In addition to traits that affect the growth of attributes and potentials, homemade food may be given quality traits (up to +7 for a single trait), with better quality food (max 11) increasing the experience and potentials gained. Blessing increases gains by another 50%. Eating while hungry or more increases it by +10% and eating in your settlement at a dining sign by another +10%.

Note: The eggs of machines have the [bleeding] trait, but it has no special effects when you eat it.
Note: Food with the Adam trait cannot be duplicated by Kettle. Unlike regular food, Kettle only dupes Bug Mix and Aphrodisiac food with 1 unit per item, making it very inefficient.
Nutrition
Food has a set nutritional parameter.
Nutrition is the amount by which satiety is restored, as well as the multiplier by which experience is added to abilities and potentials. For example, a food with a nutritional value of 20 will restore twice as much satiety and gain twice as much experience as a food with a nutritional value of 10. The nutritional content of homemade food varies depending on the nutritional content of each ingredient.
Having the state of Hungry / Very Hungry / Starving increases the food effect by a further 10%. Conversely, if you exceed your satiety level by eating extremely nutritious food, the excess nutrition is ignored. verify
The nutrition you get from the food crafted with the gourmet 3 feat is compressed (nutrition -10%, food effect +5%), so you can get the benefits of a meal without straining your stomach.
Designated dining areas found within owned settlements will boost the food effect by a further 10%.
Blessing food will boost it's effect by 50%. Likewise cursing will reduce it by 50%.
Decay
Food made of raw materials loses its freshness over time and eventually spoils.
Food that has completely rotted is given the【Stinky】(Perception Lv. -2), and eating it will have negative effects such as suffering from status abnormalities or receiving negative experience for your attribute.
If the food is still in the stale stage, it can be cooked to regain its freshness, but if any ingredient is rotten, it will produce rotten food even if it is cooked.
Blessing/Curse
Blessed food increases the food effect by 50%. Cursed food decreases the food effect. Unlike Elona, eating cursed food does not cause vomiting.
Also, in Elin, blessed/cursed food no longer occurs naturally. If you want them, you need to intentionally bless or curse the food by mixing it with blessed/cursed water, or using blessed/cursed milk if the dish uses milk as an ingredient.
Cannibalism
If you eat meat with the [Human Flesh] trait, you may gain the Cannibalism feat.
This feat increases the food effect of food by 50% with the [Human Flesh] trait, and decreases the food effect of food without it.
The duration of this feat is shorter than in Elona, a few meals without the [Human Flesh] trait will remove the Cannibalism feat.
Foods by Type
This section contains tables with descriptions, not sortable tables. For sortable and references, see: Elin:Cooking.
Meat and Egg
The traits of meat and eggs depend on the race of the monster or NPC that dropped them.
The following are meat and egg traits that do not originate from the monster, obtained by dismantling the dish or otherwise, and the actual meat and eggs will have the respective dietary traits of the monster added to them.
See Food/Monster Food Traits for the meat and egg meal trait bonuses for each monster.

Rice and Dough (flour, noodles, powdered medicine, etc.)
Dough is the generic term for flour, bread dough, noodles, and powdered drugs. Note that rice is a grain, not a dough.
The traits of store-bought doughs, noodles, and rice will be as follows. These ingredients can be bought from Rodwyn the witch with unique additional stats like [Cat], [Bug Mix], [Venom], [Fatten up] and similar.
For details on self-made grains, see Cooking.
Rice has two items with shared names and default traits. Top-tie bag is craftable, bale-shaped is not.
Seasonings and Herbs
For details on self-made seasonings, see Cooking.
In Fortune Bell, condiments with 【Premium Quality】 can be redeemed for casino chips.
The only difference is the quality; the other food traits are the same as the regular ones.
Herbs in Elin are medicinal herbs with traits that restore status abnormality and can also be used as seasonings.
Unlike Elona's herbs, eating it does not gain experience to the main attribute or latent ability.
It is effective when eaten as is, but can also be crafted to make a bandage with medicinal properties.
Dishes (Default)
Main Page: Cooking
Dishes initially generated without a cookware, such as those located in town, have their own nutritional and food traits
Failed Dishes
If you cook a dish while your cooking skill has not reached the required level for the recipe, these will sometimes take the place of the dish you want to make.
Eating them has only a negative effect, so put them in a compost box to make fertilizer or use a hammer to demolish them.

Note: The food item after hammering will be of the same material as the dish. Found and bought dishes are made of processed food, therefore the raw ingredients will not rot.
Manufactured Goods
Edible decorations, Preserved food bought from NPCs, and Raw food stuffs.
Note: Nutrition values are shown for the default food items you can find and buy, not the ones crafted by the player.
Note on Rot:
- No: Does not rot
- Yes: Rots on its own.
- (Yes): Does not rot unless put into a processing container (Aging Rack, Drying Brick, Brewery Barrel, ...).
