Bee hives are processors, which automatically create honeycombs depending on available flowers on the map.

Honeycomb production

Beehive production is closely related to farming of flowers and fertility management.

The quantity of flowers decides how many honeycombs are being produced and the +X quality of the flowers influences the +X quality of the resulting honeycombs.

Note: Each map has a default 5 flower points (as if 5 flowers are present on the map). Bee hives do not work within tents.

Fertility will also have an effect on the honey production, you will need 29 or more fertility to be at full efficiency. If your fertility is at -71 or below then your beehives will not produce honey.

Bee hives spawn neutral bees around them. Killing the bees has no effect on the hives or the production.

Crafting Bee Hives

The recipe can be acquired by

dismantling bee hives (for example in Lumiest, or in Mysilia) with crafting 25 or higher
purchasing it from Nino in Tinker's Camp
random recipe in treasure chests
dream recipe with crafting 25 or higher

You need 5 bricks, 1 queen bee (low drop chance in bee loot table) and 2 nails. Quality and material of the bee hive does not matter.
