Immortal undead endowed with immense intelligence and magic, Wraiths possess greater mana and meditation skills than other races. However, they lack the physical stamina for direct combat. While Wraiths have resistance to several elements, they are weak to fire.

Overview

As you can see from the opening description and skill bonuses, Wraiths are undead with abilities very similar to those of Lich.

Compared to the Lich, Wraiths have bonuses to Strength and Dexterity instead of lower mental attributes. And the biggest difference is that Wraiths have a feat called “Mana Body” that allows them to stay alive by using MP as their life even when their HP reaches zero. This feat gives Wraiths unmatched physical strength compared to the lich, but instead they are at great risk of devoting MP to magic chanting. Thus, although Wraiths are similar to Liches in status, they have very different class aptitudes. Because of their powerful and unique feats, the penalty due to Light Eater feat, described below, is set more heavily than that of the Lich.

As mentioned above, Wraiths have difficulty dealing with spells due to the effects of their own feats, so they inevitably fight with physical attacks. However, Force weapon, which refer to magic for damage, can take advantage of the Wraith's high magical power to fight in close quarters.

Wraiths are resistant to poison, nerve, dark, and Nether elements due to their undead feat, but are vulnerable to the fire. While poison and nerve-element users are not threatening, dark and nether resistances are more valuable. Fire attacks are very common, but fire resistance, which compensates for Wraith's weaknesses, can easily be compensated for with scales or dragon scale equipment.

Light Eater feat increases the amount of fullness gained from eating. The ability to become full more easily than other races may be helpful at the beginning of the game when food is scarce, but since eating is also an opportunity to increase attributes, reducing the frequency of meals will be disadvantageous in the long run. In order for wraith to eat efficiently, it is necessary to pay attention to the nutrition of food and their fullness.

Suggested Classes

It is no exaggeration to say that Wraiths are a race that exists to be used in combination with executioners. The Heart of Death Feat, which increases the critical rate the lower the executioner's HP, is a perfect match for the Wraith's Mana Body Feat. In addition, Mana's Body feat is combined with that of Wraith, and the rank becomes 3, making it easier to activate the effect of halving the mana cost. (Mana's Body 2 activates when HP is 20% or less, and Mana's Body 3 activates when HP is 33% or less.)

Lore and Trivia

  • Wraiths are not humans, so eating human flesh does not increase their insanity. Additionally, the chance of getting cannibalistic feats is also reduced.
