Investing in a shop increases the quantity and quality of items available for sale.
Overview
The investing skill can be learned from the trainer in Lumiest or Willow.
When speaking to a vendor, players can pay orens to raise their shop level (displayed in the top right corner of their dialogue box), increasing the stock available. This change does not take effect until their shop restocks. Investment price increases every shop level; raising your investing skill will mitigate the amount of orens required.
Shop Level
A shop's level can be raised directly by paying the store owner, or by investing with a secretary to raise a town's development, which will act as an investment to all shops in that location. The stock of a shop is based on a combination of the level of the town and the individual shop level.
Notes
- Investing in Demitas and Kettle's shops will increase the amount of items they can copy (to a maximum of 10 for Demitas and 5 for Kettle).
- Investing in town level does not count toward Merchant Guild's contributions.
- Shops that cannot directly be invested in such as vending machines, animal trainers, and slave masters can have their shop levels improved by raising a town's development level by investing with a secretary.
