==About ==
The Little Girl is one of the pets you can get from [[Elin:Bestiary/Norland/Fiama|Fiama]].
 
Although her inclusion in a list of animal "pets" is a joke, the little girl is ''hands down'' the best choice to the point that ''not'' picking her is an early-game handicap.  Even the bear cub is of extremely limited use, while the little girl has a class and full set of equipment slots.  Unlike the player, she starts with randomized, but usually functional set of equipment, plus has a special +10 PV feat to add to her armor without using an equipment slot just in case her starting gear is poor.  With the [[Elin:Warrior|warrior class]], she is much more formidable than her name suggests, and especially for players who take race and class combinations ill-suited to combat, such as fairy or snail pianists or tourists, the little girl is going to be a vastly better combatant than you and may have to carry you through the early game until you can establish yourself.  The little girl is also a great boon in the early game to ranged class PCs like archer or wizard, as the little girl naturally taunts to attract enemy attention to herself and heads into melee to block enemies from reaching a player that wants to keep distance.  Many NPCs are poor at using their abilities because the AI scripts are so random, but since tank AI is a dead simple "run at the enemy and stab," and the little girl has no ability besides taunt to randomly be selected and possibly be chosen in place of stabbing, the little girl is geared towards being as useful a meat shield and bodyguard as an NPC can generally be in the early game.
 
Due to the way that NPCs train skills through use in a very similar manner to the PC, it's technically possible to keep the little girl through to the end of the game, although it takes serious work, and one should manage her food to keep her physical stat potential high plus give her orens to purchase skill training.  It is, however, ultimately ''much'' faster to simply replace your companions with higher-level NPCs like adventurers that also come with better abilities, especially post game in the Void when scaling hits ridiculous extremes, and keeping the little girl to end-game is more of a challenge run activity for the sentimental.
 
Ironically for a "little girl," the randomness of ages in Elin means she has a fairly high probability of spawning at an adult age, such as in her mid 20s.
 
One thing to note is that her job is fixed as a woodcutter, so she may be difficult to handle when she is a resident of your home.

The Little Girl is one of the pets you can get from Fiama.

Although her inclusion in a list of animal "pets" is a joke, the little girl is hands down the best choice to the point that not picking her is an early-game handicap.
