This summarizes common concerns among many players.

This page contains spoilers, so please browse at your own risk.

Also, this information may change slightly depending on the game version.

If you don't know something that's not written in the wiki

Due to the huge amount of information and frequent changes every update, there are many things that may not be accurately reflected in the wiki.
You may find what you're looking for by searching in the official Discord server.
If you can't find it through search, feel free to ask in the Elin: elin-questions channel

Questions will not be answered if you are using mods.

Mod development is supported, but usage is at your own risk.

Symptoms like game freezes or save data corruption are reported frequently.

(You can play without mods by launching Steam with the "-nomod" launch option.)

Major Changes from Elona

Material Transformation

All scrolls for material transformation have been removed. Material hammers have been implemented instead. You can obtain them from randomly generated elemental statues/earth statues in the field/Nefia.
There are also shrines that can only be used in that location called "Material Hammer."

Wishes

In order to wish at a well, you need the "Fragrance of Goddess" key item (consumed when you wish), and the strength of the generated wish items depends on the "Black Cat's Saliva" key item (which is not consumed).

Luck

Does not affect blackjack or quality of drops (enchantment strength).

Guild Affiliation

You can be affiliated with all guilds at the same time.

Killing Little Sisters

Killing them does not decrease the spawn rate of Big Daddies. There is a penalty, but you can negate it by rescuing more.

Faith

There are no restrictions on apostle acquisition; however if there are three or more apostles in the party, they will start fighting.

About Gameplay

HP Recovery is Tough

At first, you should make bandages with the quick craft ability.
You should also learn the regeneration skill from a trainer.
You can cast spells on the entire party by holding down the hotbar key.
If you are holding a healing spell, you can right-click on a target to heal it.

Stat is Decreased and in Red

You received a weakening attack. You can recover using the "Restore" potions for each ability, or a healer in the town can treat you.

Enemies are Too Strong

Selling reputation at the town's informer lowers the difficulty of generated Nefia and requests.

Taxes are Too High

Hover over the tax amount displayed on your home board to see the breakdown.
Base tax is 500 times the number of years passed (maximum 5500), and fame tax depends on reputation points.
You can sell reputation points to the informer in town.

Trouble with Lack of Base Items/Facility Recipes

First, check the following NPCs for items for sale:
・The Shadow of Mysilia "Fiama" (after she leaves, she can be found in Willow)
・The Frontier Inspector "Loytel"
・The Talesinger of Olvina "Farris"
・Tinker's Camp: The caravan master "Nino"
・Palmia: The acting mayor "Nora"

Missing Specific Feats

Some feats require the acquisition of prerequisite skills.

Not Enough Hotbar Slots

Place an appropriate container (the image uses a cargo box).

Abilities can also be placed in containers or the inventory.
By placing spells or special techniques in an appropriate container (the image shows a cargo box), you can effectively expand your toolbar.

Map Only Displays Images of Mountains and Sky

- If you have mods installed

It is likely due to mods. Please try removing all mods.

If that doesn't help, there may be corruption in your save data. Try reinstalling the previously removed mods and launching from a backup.

If that still does not work, recovery of that data might be hopeless. Unfortunately, using mods is at your own risk, so you may have to give up.

- If you do not have mods installed

First, try checking the integrity of the Steam files or reinstalling the game.

If it still doesn't work, it is likely due to some bug. (Occasionally, it can also be due to hardware failures/settings errors.)

Please send a bug report described below and wait for a response.

It Might be a Bug!

Proper bug reports are welcome. Please follow the steps below.

1. Remove "all" mods added from the workshop and check again (this is often due to MOD bugs or version discrepancies).
2. Try asking in the Elin: #elin-questions channel of the official Discord server.
   
   • If you are confident that it is definitely a bug, you can skip this step.

1. Report the bug in the #elin-bugs channel on Discord or by pressing F11 from the game.
   • When reporting, please summarize as clearly and concisely as possible what happened, when it occurred, how you confirmed it was a bug, and include any testing content and results if you did such.

Player Characters

What is a Specialization?

Magic from specialization increases the chance of obtaining spell books from the same domain.
"The added" specialization can only be changed later. (Location: Wizard Guild Master & Guild Rank 4)

Effects of Feats

Gourmet: Hidden food traits such as cat/human meat become visible.
- Lucid Dream: 100% chance of dreaming about increasing magical stocks. The type of magic learned easily changes with level.
- Lonely Soul: Effective even if solo, as long as there is space available.
- Model Believer: Pray at the last turn of the day. Level 2 increases the faith skills of allies.

Where to Learn Skills

You need to join a guild to use the guild trainer.
- When the guild level increases, the required platinum coins decrease.
- Negotiation/Travel: Merchant Guild
- Gun/Marksman/Pickpocket/Greater Evasion: Thief Guild
- Tactics/Dual Wielding/Eye of Mind: Warrior Guild
- Memorization/Control Magic/Magic Capacity: Mage Guild

Mutations

Can be either good or bad, not both. To revert, use a potion of cure mutation.

Faith

Faction Effects

The faction effect of ★artifacts only applies when the player is currently believing in that deity, but the effect applies when equipped by anyone in the party/base.

Faith rally

Faith rally (go through each faith artifacts as fast as possible) is not mandatory but useful. Pay attention to faction effects.

New God Altars

Newly added god altars do not appear in the Truce Ground or random generation. Dedicated altars are placed in specific locations.

Items

First, search for items and recipes by pressing Ctrl+F in your base etc.

Large Leaves, Needles

Harvested from Palulu Trees and Cacti on beach tiles.

Glass

Harvest shell shards on sandy beach tiles and fire them in a furnace (it is also okay to burn sand to create sand shards → glass).

Clays, Dirt, Bricks

Clay (dirt) + potion types yield clay; fire clay in a furnace to make bricks.

Rice, Flour

Use a stone mill with (wheat) + (wheat). Try rice/wheat + seasonings as well.

Empty Bottles

Disassemble potion types with a stone mill + (leaves/flowers) or dyes using a hammer.

Water

Draw water from a holy well using an empty bottle (blessed water). Or find randomly generated items at the shrine《Thing》.

Refrigerators

From the initial cave of Elona (for free!!), Palmia (furniture collection tickets/theft), furniture store (low probability).

Computers/Monitors

From the unique location south of Port Kapul on the beach (requires theft), or crafting.

Ether Antibodies

Fortune Bell (casino in Palmia), Miral and Garok's Workshop (small medal exchange), wishes (quantity is determined by the number of saliva), Ecopo merchant in Yowyn

(※Ecopo is probably a joke from Ethercoutai Potion in Japanese).

Blood of the Fallen Angel, Mercury, Scraps of Goddess Feathers

Effects not yet implemented.

Furniture Tickets

While holding the ticket, right-click on the item you want to exchange it for.
The secretary in each town will exchange influence for tickets.

Can you bring back altars/statues (shrines) found in Nefia?

It is possible, and there are various methods, but all require knowledge and techniques.

As you can see from the weight, they are not designed to be easily brought back, nor are there any special benefits.

Here are just a few hints. Please experiment with various methods yourself.

• Material hammers, feather scrolls, collection tickets.
• While squashed, return and escape magic do not function. Moving forcibly while squashed will result in death, or a very large amount of damage. If you die while squashed, you will drop any items causing the collapse at that location.
• Items that would cause you to become squashed can still be lifted, thrown, or placed.
• Items can be picked up or moved from one cell away, even on the global map.
• Stairs can be accessed by checking from one cell away.
• If the setting to not automatically use stairs is off, if there are items on the stairs, they will be automatically picked up while moving through the map.
• If you carry it to your own land or the city's delivery box, it will be secured.

Crafting

How to Obtain Recipes

Base

Snow Accumulated in the Base is in the Way, and My Water Areas Are Frozen

Set the snow removal area using the design board.

Wall Display is Odd, Want to Remove Roof Display

Switch using middle-click. Middle-click of mouse solves basically everything.

Beds Installed in the Base

When you middle-click, you can select the bed for residents/guests.
The job ability adjustment for residents is related to the healing level attached to the bed.

Range of Signs

When a sign is placed in a room enclosed by walls & doors, the effect of the sign spreads to the entire room.

Where does the delivery box deliver to?

It must be placed in the delivery box, and it will be delivered to the next base you enter.

Agriculture

Seed+ values can go up to the same level as the agriculture skill level. Only the initially attached abilities can be enhanced randomly.
Set automated farming from home, and by placing a sign in the field's effective area, you can automate reharvesting.

Animal Husbandry

Place hay in the "shared container." Fertilized eggs can be set above beds and hatch over time or using an incubator.

Automated Farming

Automatically harvests and plants crops within the effective sign range. Harvest amount decreases as a trade-off.

Electricity

One generator can be found in the Truce Ground.
Residents who make their work or hobbies involve meditation, exercise, smoking will have a skill that increase power generation.
If generator gets wet and excess power falls below 50MW, a short circuit occurs, and power stops, put generators in a roofed area.

Teleporters

"Both the entry and exit bases must be level 5 or higher and sufficient power is needed."
After installation, middle-click → set ID.
Teleporters with the same ID will be connected.

★Relocation Deed

Move all buildings and land feats. The land feats will not change to the destination's ones.
