Elin meta:EA 23.48 (en)
The location of the backup folder will change from "Elin/Save/Backup" to "Elin/Backup." If the "Elin/Backup" folder already exists for any reason, the backup folder will not be moved automatically.
This version includes significant changes to the internal save/load system, which may cause save/load processes to become unstable. It is recommended to back up all save data from the standard version separately from the Nightly save data for safety.
Elin generates a large number of save files with substantial file sizes. To optimize Steam Cloud usage, save files are compressed into zip format each time you save. It's possible that moving this compression process to occur only at the end of a game session could speed things up. We'll consider this approach based on user feedback.
If the position of widgets shifts when loading from cloud saves, try adjusting the widget anchors. For example, if the anchor is set to the top left, the widget's position will be saved and loaded relative to the top left corner of the screen.
During the Early Access period, we plan to focus on balancing primarily for floors 1–50, with adjustments extending to around floor 200 in the Void Dungeon. For floors beyond that, if major balancing adjustments are required, we may implement interim fixes or simpler adjustments like the one in the last nightly update. Additionally, as we have limited game data for high-level scenarios, attaching your save data in your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
[Additions and Changes]
- NPCs now destroy fishing results when their inventory is full and cannot pick them up.
- Adjusted some of Mesherada's dialogue (Since the name "Hathaway" is not intended to refer to a specific individual but rather to "that person" yet to be seen, akin to Beatrice in Re:Zero. In the player's case, they are the one she is searching for.).
- The enchantment effects "Travel Speed Increase" and "Magic Enhancement" no longer scale with level.
- Kicking NPCs who obstruct construction no longer reduces karma.
- NPCs will now be kicked even in Build Mode when constructing impassable blocks above them.
- Minions can now be banished even if they are far away.
- Minions will drop meat and genetic materials less frequently.
- NPCs above level 1000 will gain speed adjustments every 100 levels (provisional change to avoid excessive power).
- Changed the location of the backup folder.
- Experimental support for Steam Cloud.
[Fixes]
- Various minor fixes and adjustments.
[Notes]
- The selection of goods from exotic merchants does not change even when they are at the player's base. However, unlocking guild ranks may introduce services unavailable at the base.
