Irreversible choices

In Elin, there are very few irreversible choices, and these are limited to the character creation at the start of the game and a certain DLC sub-quest.

Unlike Elona, there are no disadvantages to progressing through the story, and in fact, as you progress through the story, you will unlock a series of convenient services, so be sure to actively progress through the story.

Character creation

In Elin, your race and class determine your starting potential, and your attributes that are easy to raise will vary.

In addition, because classes now have feats and special magic elements (domains), choosing a class is more important than in Elona.

For this reason, character creation that only focuses on skills, such as choosing a class like a pianist even though you are a spellcaster, is no longer effective.

I won't talk about which races, classes, or domains are strong here, because this game is still being updated and balanced.

Please look at the individual pages on the wiki and other user guides to find the combination that suits your play style.

If I had to say, the creator has announced that they will be making balance adjustments to the magic elements (domains), so you might want to focus on the class feats rather than the domains when choosing your class.

Sub-quest “Haunted Manor”

This is the only quest in Elin that has an irreversible element.

Please follow the instructions to "only one treasure may be taken back with you." and choose carefully after looking closely.

Please be careful, as you will be considered to have taken the item home once you pick it up.

Other minor elements

• Some ★Artifacts cannot be reacquired. They will not be destroyed, but if you leave them behind on a map that has been regenerated, they will disappear.
• Defeating the boss on the 5th floor of the basement of Sukutsu will cause the enemies in the Random Nepheia to become tougher, due to level scaling. Once this has happened, it cannot be reversed, so be sure you are strong enough before attempting to do so.

"Reversible" choices

I recruited a unique NPC before getting their figure and card!

Let's banish them for now. Don't worry, they'll be back on the map where they were. Once you've got their figure and card, recruit them again.

I missed getting Loytel and Farris's figure and card!

Don't panic. There was never a chance to get their figure and card in the first place.

NPCs like Poppy and Farris, who can be rescued in Nefia, are immortal and cannot be defeated in the first place.

Also, because player companions and residents do not drop items like figures, there is no way to obtain these items from companions who join you in Home Quests.

• In a certain old version, it was possible to obtain Loytel's card and other items due to a bug, but this has now been fixed.
