The numbers on the tables seem odd to me, and should probably be replaced with specific materials instead of hardness numbers, since  I suggest using common materials that make a good pick, like granite, slate, basalt, onyx, iron, steel, etc. No need to include straw and such, even if you can make ingots out of anything.

I wasn't tracking while I hit other milestones, but when I found meteorite I was just on the cusp of mining it so I got it dialed in and figured it would be helpful to know: A blessed steel pickaxe cannot mine meteorite ore in a wall at 55 mining, but it can at 56, confirmed by swapping a piece of equipment with a skill bonus and later gaining one skill level.

I also ruled out strength making a difference, unless 7 strength (70 > 63) is worth less than a single skill point in mining.
