Do you want to know how to pickpocket hostile mobs while having only a level 1 Pickpocket skill with no karma penalty
You heard that right. Never fail pickpocketing every hostile mob ever again with no karma penalty (in your base).
This guide shall also double as a Pickpocket + Stealth Grinding Strategy, a Hostile Mob Once-A-Day Free "Gacha" System, and "How to Kill Any Hostile Mob in Your Base"
There are conditions, however:
- This can only happen in your base/properties
- You need to have a build board (with access to the ability to raise the height of tiles)
- A hostile mob present in your base (you don't lost Karma if you pickpocket hostile mobs)
- Have the Sleight of Hand skill (need the Thieves Guild for this if you didn't start with one)
- Have hostile be allowed to spawn in your base
- Best done away from the prying eyes of neutral mobs
- Optional: Binoculars to see your entire base easily
It's honestly simple:
- When you see a hostile mob in your base, use access the build board ASAP.
- For easier access, carry a build board with you (if you can), then place it down when you see mob
- Raise the height of the tile the hostile mob is on 10 tiles higher compared to one you are on
- You will immediately notice that the hostile mob is trapped, free to be killed by you via throwing or magic, and this includes pickpocketing
- With this you can empty the pockets and inventory of every hostile mob
- Take note that the mob has to start out as hostile. If a mob became hostile because of your actions/karma, this doesn't count and pickpocketing them will cause Karma loss
- You must separate each mob. Only 1 mob per tile because having more in one tile will not allow the other mobs at the back to get pickpocketed,
- Take note that once a day, a new item will be added into the inventory of the hostile mob (the once-a-day gacha system)
- This item can be anything, from junk, food, furniture, books, equipment, etc.
- The rarity of the item generated depends on the level of the mob (in my experience, not yet fully confirmed)
- No other item will be added to the inventory of the hostile mob unless the new one generated has been pickpocketed
- Pickpocketing will not stop unless you manage to steal the new item, so that means if you get Orens, you can continue stealing UNTIL you get the newly generated item
Now, what can you do to take advantage of this?
- Buy and use Scrolls of Summon Monster (this is the only one that generates hostile mobs) in your base with a build board beside you
- Turn on the Policy preventing Mothers and Nuns from Spawning in your base (they can teleport to and kill isolated hostile mobs)
- Better to set this in a new property with no Visitors and it is not Open for Business
- This works well for a base set primarily for ranching (just livestock + pastures)
- You can set this up in a property that has "Monster Den" as part of its Land Feats for higher monster spawn
- The Demon Invocation policy (Increases enemy level of randomly generated enemies in My Home) finally has its use
- Mass produce and expand! (I actually have one property with around 30+ mobs of this. The random stuff you get is fun)
