Each item has a Curse/Bless status assignt to them shown by a purple dot (doomed), red dot (cursed), neutral (no dot) and blessed (green dot) on their image. Equipment spawned with doomed and cursed often bears negative enchantments. The effect of blessings depens on the item itself:
Item | Status | Effect | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Equipment (helmet, boots, lanterns, ...) | Blessed | +2 PV | |
Melee & Ranged Weapons | Blessed | +2 damage | |
Tools | Blessed | Increases hardness by 1 | |
Cursed | Decreases hardness by 1 | ||
Food | Blessed | Increases gains by 50% | x1.5 |
Cursed | Decreases gains by 50% | x0.5 | |
Books | Blessed | Easier to read successfully | x0.75 |
Cursed | Harder to read successfully | x3 |
Also see Scrolls, Books/Rods and Potions.
Notes
- To dispell doomed items you might need many attempt of uncurse casts or just 1 of *uncurse* cast. Since uncurse rods and scrolls are quite common, don't waste blessed water on it.
- Only equipable items can be doomed.
- The claymore of dragonslaying that can be found in the cursed manor is hardcoded to be doomed and cannot be dispelled.
- Doomed and cursed equipment cannot be unequipped.
